Eric Wilson

Eric Wilson is a seasoned educator with 16 years of teaching experience, having spent 7 impactful years in Dallas, where he played a key role in writing geographic curriculum for the district. His passion for geography and education has taken him to 62 countries, enriching his global perspective. Eric’s international teaching career includes four years at the American International School of Jeddah, where he successfully introduced and implemented the AP Geography program for the first time. His innovative approach to teaching is highlighted by his use of Augmented Reality (AR) to transform classroom walls into interactive learning spaces. A top graduate of Texas State University's master's program at the National Geographic Center of Geographic Education, Eric's expertise extends beyond the classroom. He has served as a consultant for National Geographic, training new teachers and sharing his insights on education. For his Master’s thesis, Eric created an Augmented Reality Museum, gathering valuable data on AR's impact on learning and exploring its future potential in education. Currently, Eric is at Abu Dhabi Grammar School, where he is gamifying his curriculum to foster a dynamic, self-paced learning environment. Collaborating with Edpuzzle and The Modern Classroom Project, he is integrating AR to engage students, get them active, and revolutionize the traditional classroom setting.
