Sanam Yaqub

An Educator, Executive Coach and Mentor, Sanam has been working within the Middle East for almost two decades years. With extensive teaching and leadership experience working within the UK and UAE Education sectors, Sanam brings a wealth of experience to her role within the Higher Education Sector. Leading the implementation for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Birmingham Dubai, Sanam is passionate about driving the University’s commitment to creating and maintaining an inclusive learning and working environment, where all members of the community can flourish and reach their full potential. At a strategic level, Sanam works with school leaders, school group CEO’s and their board of Governors to establish strategic partnerships with a view to develop Initial Teacher Education and Continued Professional Development programmes for teaching professionals in Middle East. She has been instrumental in establishing the School of Education’s strategic aims for learning and teaching through strategic planning, development and management of the school’s complex and diverse teacher education programmes and related external partnerships. Having been involved in Coaching in Education for a number of years, Sanam is also a member of the University’s Coaching Academy. She inherently believes that Coaching is one of the most powerful strategies to leverage unlocking an individual’s potential and maximising performance.
