Shri. A. S. Ramana Prasad is the Chairman of five BVM Global Schools in Chennai and Bangalore, India, affiliated with CBSE and NIOS, as well as BVMi International School, affiliated with IGCSE, UK. He holds a B.Tech. degree from IIT Madras and two MS degrees in Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He started his career as a New Technology Development Engineer at Intel in California before leading Solidaire Televisions in India as Managing Director from 1981 to 2000. Mr. Ramana Prasad serves in key positions, including on the Governing Council of the Centre for Innovation (CFI) at IIT Madras, as Mentor of Change at Atal Tinkering Lab NITI Aayog, and as a Governing Council member of the International Catrobat Foundation at Graz University of Technology, Austria. He is also a PAN IIT Executive Committee member and board member of IIT Madras’s Department of Engineering Design. As an advocate for STEM education, Mr. Ramana Prasad co-authored a research paper on AI Snap! blocks, which was presented at the 12th AAAI Symposium on Educational Advances in AI (2022). His mission is to empower students with creativity, critical thinking, and 21st-century skills to meet real-world challenges.
