Mary-Rose is a school librarian at Hartland International School in Dubai where she has worked for nine years, running both the Primary and Secondary libraries, and has recently completed an NPQSL. She was UEA School Librarian of the Year in 2019 and is representing CILIP SLG as the co-chair of the Great School Libraries campaign, a UK based advocacy campaign to ensure that all children have access to a library and librarian. She has run an OU/UKLA Teachers’ Reading Group in Dubai for five years and has a special interest in working with teachers to develop not only their RfP pedagogy but to work with them to embed inquiry and reading for purpose into the curriculum.
