Mariani John D Sibatu

Mariani John, a mathematics teacher with experience of 22 years from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah teaches at SMK Pulau Gaya, a secondary rural school located on an island off the coast of Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. As a passionate advocate for STEM education, Mariani is a recognized leader in integrating technology into the classroom and fostering student innovation. Her commitment to these innovative teaching practices has earned her prestigious designation as a National STEM Ambassador Teacher and a National Digital Champion Teacher. Mariani's expertise extends beyond the traditional classroom. She is a certified Google Trainer, empowering fellow educators to leverage the power of technology for dynamic learning experiences. As a Teacherpreneur and STEM facilitator, Mariani is deeply passionate about guiding students to conceptualize and create their own innovative STEM projects. She regularly conducts engaging STEM workshops for both students and teachers, sharing her passion and expertise. In a recent testament to her guidance, Mariani mentored ten groups of students through the development of STEM Innovation Projects.
