GEMS Metropole School - Al Waha

Jeremy is a respected education leader with over 20 years of experience and a consistent track record of success. Born and raised in England, he earned a degree in Education from Oxford University in 1996. After a decade of teaching, he obtained his National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) in 2006, becoming headteacher of a school in Essex. Over the next 12 years, he led two schools to achieve academic results above the national standard and mentored 10 new headteachers. He also worked as an advisory headteacher, helping to improve standards in underperforming schools. In 2018, Jeremy joined GEMS Education as the Founding Whole School Vice Principal of GEMS Founders School – Al Mizhar, overseeing academic and pastoral success. Under his leadership, the school earned a ‘Good’ DSIB rating with ‘Very Good’ features and a BSO rating of ‘Good’ with five ‘Outstanding’ aspects. Building on this, Jeremy became the Founding Principal of GEMS Metropole School – Al Waha. Now in his second successful year, he continues to foster excellence and innovation. Additionally, Jeremy formed and led the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) network, promoting best practices in over 150 schools, and completed his school inspection accreditation, further cementing his reputation as a transformative figure in education.
