This session will dive into how GEMS Education is leading the way in esports and game design through its unique Esports and Game Design Academy. With the growing interest in competitive gaming, we are not only preparing students for future careers in the gaming industry but also fostering essential transferable life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. We’ll explore how our student-led initiatives have become the largest in the region and discuss the Academy’s role in bridging the gap between gaming, education, and career pathways, while also touching on our partnerships with industry leaders to provide students with real-world opportunities.
In this session, we will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) could reshape the role of principals and headteachers. While AI presents new opportunities, it’s crucial that school leaders remain at the forefront of this transformation. We’ll demystify the hype surrounding AI, clarify what it currently is and isn’t, and focus on practical ways AI can be used to enhance school leadership without diminishing the crucial human element of the role. Participants will leave with high-level insights on how to strategically integrate AI, ensuring you understand where it supports, enhances, and potentially replaces elements of leadership responsibilities, alongside a roadmap for its future impact on education.
