Zelda Malak Yanovich is Co-Founder of Fam Studios and Co-Chair of the University of Oxford's “Generation AI: Advanced AI systems and their impact on human development” with Reuben College's Global Challenges Programme. The launch "Generation AI” conference, September 2024, brought together researchers, innovators, technologists, philanthropists, investors and policymakers to debate and design solutions that enable wholistic early childhood development powered by advanced AI systems. Zelda is also Expert Commissioner on Digital Play for the UK’s Play Commission which is guiding government policy. With Fam Studio Zelda leads deep work on early childhood development, including with Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, and leads on academic partnerships to advance Responsible AI for young children and their families with BCG, Sesame Workshop and OpenAI, as well as considering how Gen AI systems might unlock imagination, creativity and early language development, for example. Prior to Fam Studios, Zelda led the Parenting Initiative at LEGO Foundation and was Chair and Strategy Lead for the Real Play Coalition focused on bringing play back to cities. Her background has always been focused on early childhood development and helping children and their caregivers flourish, building on her early career work within the United Nations System.
