GESS 2009 moves to Airport Expo Centre due to overwhelming response

The massive response from the recent Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions Show (GESS), the region's premier educational, supplies and solutions event and the Global Education Forum, has prompted Fairs & Exhibitions, the company behind the initiatives, to hold the event at the Airport Expo Centre from 10-12 March 2009.
The twin events, supported by the UAE Education Ministry, are now annual fixtures on the Dubai B2B events calendar after a tremendous inaugural airing and positive feedback from the exhibitor, visitors and sponsors.
GESS 2008 and Global Education Forum received more than 4,000 education professionals from 35 countries throughout the Middle East and North Africa including ministerial delegations from Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Oman. Additionally, most of the 250 exhibitors from 15 countries, including large national pavilions from the UK and Germany have confirmed dramatically increasing their space requirements.
"With GESS' positive response from regional educational professionals, including the private and public sector, we looked for a bigger venue with better facilities that will suit the needs of the educational forum as well as sufficient room for the predicted growth within the exhibition. The Airport Expo Centre is the perfect location as it ensures that both exhibitors and visitors will have easier access, with plentiful parking," said Sue Rothwell, Group Event Director, F&E.
"The fact that over 80% of last year's floor space is already reserved, and we are already receiving bookings from new exhibitors is a true reflection of the event's dedication to the enhancement of the region's education sector. This is also reflected in the Global Education Forum where we anticipate participation from leading experts from both the region and the international arena."
GESS 2009 is proud to announce the continued official support of the UAE Ministry of Education, the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) and UK Trade and Investment Support, World Didac and the DDV – The German Educational Supplies Association assisted by AUMA – the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry.
