New scholarships for Pakistani students
SHARJAH: Pakistan Social Centre (PSC), Sharjah, announced up to 100 per cent scholarships for outstanding Pakistani students to study at the Global Learning Centre (GLC) University, UAE, which has affiliation with universities from Malaysia, UK and the US.
PSC Sharjah, in association with GLC University, signed the MoU to provide scholarships to the young expat students who have shown distinguished performance in their schools in the UAE.
Khalid Hussain Chaudhry, President of PSC Sharjah, said the scholarships will cover 50 to 100 per cent of the tuition fees based on the marks secured by the applicants.
Chaudhry said, “Pakistan Social Centre, Sharjah, believes in shaping the future of the next generation and will reach out to the leaders of tomorrow.
“This scholarship programme is a stepping stone to support and encourage the community’s best students,” added Chaudhry.
Masood Ahmed, Education and Cultural Secretary of PSC, emphasised the need for education which is an indispensable tool to tackle most of the challenges in life.
The knowledge attained through education opens doors to a better tomorrow.
Dr S. M. Tahir, Chairman, GLC University, which is part of the scholarship venture, urged the community members to take advantage of this scholarship programme at the earliest so that the students could gain timely benefit from this offer. The application deadline for the scholarship is Sept.30.
