The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received letters from the US President Barack Obama, related to bilateral relations between the two countries.
Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, received the two letters during a meeting with Michael H. Corbin, Ambassador of the United States of America to the UAE, in his office in the ministry.
The US President praised the existing bilateral relations between the UAE and the United States, expressing his interest and saying that he looked forward to enhancing them in various fields. He congratulated the UAE for winning its bid to host the Expo 2020 in Dubai, noting the emirates’ leadership in education, innovation and business. In his message to Shaikh Khalifa, the US President touched on current regional developments.
