The Highly Immersive Programme (H.I.P.) Carnival in Tawau District, implemented since 2018, aims to enhance English proficiency among pupils. It provides higher exposure to the English language in schools. The carnival, organized by the Student Development Sector and Learning Sector, involves school administrators, pupils, parents, and the community. Its objectives include showcasing pupil talent, sharing best practices for H.I.P. implementation, and fostering parental and community involvement. Competitions like Action Song, Fashion Couture, Singing, Fantasy Cuisine, and short film production promote English language use. Additionally, Primary Virtual Classes boost students' speaking skills by exposing them to local and global activities. Collaborations with students from India, Russia, Indonesia, and Taiwan have further enriched the program. As a result, schools at Level 2 have actively participated in the H.I.P. portal, and students now speak English confidently.
