John Short Ring is currently the Head of Senior School at Kent College Dubai. He was previously Founder and CEO of Support-Edu, a consultancy company that trained over 350 leaders in global educational settings. Before he founded Support-Edu he was deputy head at one of the world’s most successful schools, King’s College School Wimbledon. John was predominately responsible for staff development and digital transformation, but also ran admissions, co-curricular education, preparation for inspection and the operational side of the school throughout his tenure. He was also heavily involved in KCS International, training middle and senior leaders in China, Thailand and Europe. This led him to join the board at Dal ar Marefa School, Dubai, where he chaired the educational committee. John has spoken at a number of conferences on middle and senior leadership, supported schools with quality assurance and school improvement, advised schools on senior leadership and Principal appointments and develop professional learning systems for global organisations. He achieved a First from UCL in History and holds the CSML from Harvard. He is married with two young sons.
